LINEN TEXTILE FROM THE EARLY 1900S, COMPOSED OF TWO SELVEDGE HAND WOVEN COLUMNS BECOMES CERAMIC WHEN SOAKED IN PORCELAIN AND FIRED IN A CONE 10 KILN. THIS TRANSLATES TO A NEW DELICATE NATURE AND TRANSLUCENCY, EVOCATIVE OF THE ORIGINAL MATERIAL, WHICH IS BURNED OUT IN THE PROCESS. WHAT REMAINS AS A SIGNIFIER IS A PORCELAIN GHOST.
